Upcoming Features

As part of its commitment to the ongoing development and support of the FIO Protocol, the Foundation has already planned to develop several key features. Other projects may be proposed and developed by the community as desired, and FIO may elect to take on responsibility as resources allow.

Friend List

The Friend List is the core privacy solution for the FIO Protocol which enables users to add other FIO Addresses to their friend list (e.g. contacts list), which allows for public address mapping to occur in a private, encrypted manner. Friending capability will be integrated into FIO-enabled products based on the developers of those products, but the underlying capabilities will be built into the FIO Protocol.

Transfer Functionality

Transfer functionality is a core functionality to enable users to sell and/or move their FIO Addresses/Domains to others. As non-fungible tokens, FIO Addresses and Domains are freely transferable.
